Mojo Filta

Eric Breding - Guitars, Vocals, Bail-bonding, and what-not.
Music started for me as an escape from my crazy childhood. The dream of being on stage created this separate reality that I could escape into as a child. The older I became, the more I escaped until all I thought about was being a rock star (many people would say I was sick with obsession). After years of pretending and escaping, I realized that I had become a musician. I started writing songs and eventually started recording them.
One evening, I was sitting and listing to all the different projects that I had recorded over time. After milling through the past in my mind, like we all do when a good tune is on, I thought, "Being a rock star is about creating music, performing it, and most of all, sparking a reaction from an audience." It dawned on me at that point, "I've been a rock star for a long time and all my dreams are true." Whether one person buys the album, or one million buy it, it does not change the song or the intention of the artist.
Now the MOJO FILTA is my outlet and the fruit salad of delight is rich with note driven sweetness for all to eat. So all join us and rise through the ashes of buildings and blood filled streets and, in the wise words of Randal Shultz, a.k.a D-Ran, "Come now children of the beast, be strong and SHOUT AT THE MOJO!"
Wayne Ballew - Bass Guitar, Gene Simmons Impersonator, aka "Max of Thunder"
I was born in Frankfurt, Germany, and deported to Olympia at an early age. Too young to know any better, I was convinced that the images on my first "KISS" album were timeless monsters from outer space put here to rock the world. It took me until the next century to realize, I was right all along.......and they're still here!
At age 15, I decided to buy my first bass guitar because it was my destiny to be a monster too. After playing in numerous bands for years, I, one day, for no particular reason, took a long vacation from my musical voyage.
Light-years later, back from vacation (and with a killer tan), I picked up my bass again and in late 2003, the Mojo took over...........Let's Rock!
Jay Selstad - Guitars & more guitars, aka "Silent Jay"
Call me Jay.
I play guitar.
Besides being the newest member of Mojo Filta, I am also counted as one of those dreaded people about whom you've so often been warned, on whom you've been cautiously urged to keep your wary eye: "The quiet ones."
Yup, I'm a card carrying member of that club-but I do occasionally feel the need to express myself, so I enjoy alternatives to clunky old words whenever possible. Jammin' some funky, bluesy toons on a guitar is definitely one of my favorite ways to say that which must be said. Or just to spaz out and make some cool noises.
Erick Carlson - Drums & Percussion, aka "Profitz of Boom"
When I was 7 years old I heard my first KISS album. I thought to myself, "Holy Crap! This sure beats that Disney-Disco Duck stuff I've been listening to!" I decided right then I wanted to be a rock musician. So enough about me, let's talk about...me.
